Mindfulness through Pilates

During regular Pilates training, the mind and body are trained to work as one, helping the Pilates student to be centred and consistent throughout their daily lives. Pilates is about breathing well, being in the moment, and moving in a way that minimises wear and tear of your body. Through deep, lateral breathing and good alignment, you teach your body to utilise your lungs, and work all of your trunk's stabilising muscles. From a strong, stable centre, you work outwards and improve the strength and flexibility of your limbs. Balanced strength makes most activities in life less taxing. From breath, posture and joint integrity, through to mental health and digestion, Pilates enables you to function at peak capacity.
